Naturopathic Medicine
The practice of Naturopathic Medicine in the early 1900s was primarily dietary & exercise counseling, the use of contrasting hot and cold water called hydrotherapy, and physical medicine. Dr. Wylie primarily practices in this tradition, with a focus on reproductive health for all life stages. Dr. Wylie is also trained in Functional Medicine, in which labs are performed to illuminate imbalances, for which she may recommend botanical or nutritional formulas.
Prenatal and Postpartum Care
Midwifery Care is care for the childbearing year which includes healing after birth.
Dr Wylie's Naturopathic Midwifery Care does not include primary midwifery care.
The services she provides include a comprehensive intake, physical examination, counseling, and most importantly physical medicine that promotes wellness for mother and baby. Physical medicine alleviates pain and gives the mother a space for self-care.
Physical medicine during pregnancy is helpful for strengthening the uterine muscle for childbirth, encouraging the baby's optimal position for birth, and supporting flexibility for the pelvis to allow the baby to move through with as much ease as possible.
Postpartum Care includes physical and energy medicine for healing after birth, in addition to problem solving issues related to healing postpartum with natural remedies.
Artemedes Method (Physical & Energy Medicine)
Artemedes Method describes the healing arts that Dr Wylie has gathered and innovated with for over 25 years. The name Artemedes is derived from the Greek goddess Artemis who was merged with the Anatolian mother goddess Cybele. This is a fertility goddess as well as a mother goddess, who is the protector of the female in her everchanging forms.
Classical Naturopathic Medicine also known as Eclectic Medicine, was known to include hydrotherapy (using applications of contrasting hot and cold water to specific regions of the body), nutrition, exercise counseling and visceral massage for the organs known as "bloodless surgery".
Dr Wylie was trained in techniques for addressing organ dysfunction by Dr Rosita Arvigo, a chiropractor who devoted her career towards studying and maintaining the practice of Don Elijio Panti from Belize in Central America. The techniques in her hands have innovated themselves, in tandem with Ayruvedic Acupressure called Marma Therapy, Cranial-Sacral Therapies, and Myofascial Techniques.
These techniques can be modified for people with male and non-binary bodies for other health benefits, including improving digestion or reducing scar tissue.
